Two simple rules apply to persons interested in the Swap Shop located inside the HazChem Center of Southeast Iowa:
- You do not need to bring something to the HazChem Center in order to take something from the Swap Shop. Simply put, if you visit the Swap Shop and see something you can use…you can take it for free…period.
- Items taken from the Swap Shop are presented with no guarantees. Materials found in the Swap Shop are believed to be useable in accordance to the product’s directions, but there is no guarantee.
Examples of materials commonly found in the Swap Shop include: paints, spray paints, varnishes, stains, weed killers, household cleaners (window cleaner, dust spray, etc.), air fresheners, automotive supplies (brake and transmission fluid, anti-freeze, polish), and pet products (flea/tick treatments).
