How can I begin participating in the recycling program?
You can bring your recyclables to one of the nine public drop-off containers located throughout Des Moines County, or to the drop-off area in the parking lot of Area Recyclers, at 1818 West Burlington Avenue, Burlington. Residential recycling pickup service is not available to county residents.
What are the drop-off hours for recyclables?
Recyclables can be dropped off 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

What should I do if hte public drop-off container is full?
Call Area Recyclers at 319-753-8126 or 1-800-216-8126 and let us know the bin is full. We will arrange to have it emptied.
